The Journaling Practice of Marcus Aurelius / The Most Interesting Man I Could Find / falling back in love with your life and work

Marcus Aurelius was a Roman emperor, warrior, and student of life — evident in “Meditations,” his private journals that were leaked after his death.
They reveal a ruler who grappled with duty, mortality, and ethics on a constant basis.
Aurelius Journaled in a very specific way. Watch my new video to find out how: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbzoKL6NKCM&t=235s
THE SUBSTANCEYesterday I watched the movie THE SUBSTANCE. I thought it was deeply related to Carl Jung’s idea of individuation, particularly the necessity of reconciling and unifying the conflicting forces of the Persona and the Shadow. I have only ever thought of the shadow as a repression of desires or thoughts, but for women particularly I see how getting older is a much more visceral state of the shadow. The blog monster at the end of the movie is essentially what happens when you keep yourself separated so that autonomous personalities exert control on your conscious life, with no intention of regaining control as the individual. | ![]() |

This German Scientist Thinks The Universe Is A Giant Computer
Calculating Space (1969): The German computer scientist and inventor Konrad Zuse proposed in his book Rechnender Raum ("Calculating Space") that the universe operates as a giant digital computer.
He posited that the universe is being computed by a form of cellular automaton—an enormous grid of cells that acts as a network of parallel-working computers. Each cell in this grid would follow simple, discrete rules to determine its state, with all the complex phenomena of the universe emerging from these fundamental computations.
